Lennus: Prelude to Destruction (レナス―崩壊の序曲) is a novel written by Hidenori Shibao (the creator of Lennus) that is a prequel to Paladin's Quest. It was published in 1993, shortly after the game's release, and is set 10,000 years before the game’s events. The protagonist is a young boy named Theo, a resident of Karon (a city of Lennus) about to take part in his coming-of-age ceremony when disaster strikes. Kormu, Sophie and Gabnid makes appearances[1]. The book has nearly 300 pages and was illustrated by Keisuke Goto and Hiroyuki Kato[2].
